Salute to "The Doctor"! The Valentino Rossi Yamaha R1 is here

If you're a big fan of Valentino Rossi, this special Yamaha R1 might be just the collectible you've been dreaming of. Created by Crescent Yamaha, the Valentino Rossi Road-Track Replica is not only a tribute to the nine-time MotoGP world champion, but also a limited-edition super replica with extreme performance.

This special version of the Yamaha R1 body paint by Dream Machine, in blue, yellow and black, inspired by Yamaha's 2021 R1 GYTR VR46 Tribute for Rossi, and paired with the VR46 logo, making the overall visual more recognizable and collectible.

In terms of power, the R1 is still powered by Yamaha's signature 998cc four-cylinder cross-crankshaft engine, producing 197 horsepower from the original factory, and retains the rear mirror, direction lights and license plate frame to ensure road legitimacy while still handling track day riding. However, Crescent did not make this version only cosmetic modifications, but fully enhanced the suspension, braking and handling details, so that it can perform better on the road and track.

The KYB front fork has been upgraded to Ohlins NIX 30 adjustable front fork, and the rear shock absorber has been replaced with Ohlins TTX36 for more accurate dynamic response. The braking system uses Brembo GP4RX front brake calipers and Brembo master pump for MotoGP-level brake feel, coupled with seven-spoke Marchesini M7RS forged wheel frame and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP high performance tires for a significant reduction in unsprung weight, Improved steering sensitivity and grip.

Exhaust system is selected Akrapovi short tube, with the catalyst exhaust setting, not only effectively reduce weight, exhaust sound is also more racetrack, further strengthen the riding atmosphere. In addition, the addition of GB Racing anti-fall protection allows the owner to reduce the damage to the car body when he accidentally falls.

Crescent Yamaha launched the Jonathan Rea Tesse R1 (limited to 65 units) to great acclaim last year, and now this Valentino Rossi tribute will no doubt become another hot fantasy collectible. The one-of-a-kind R1 is currently on display at the Crescent Yamaha Verwood exhibition.
